QR Code Pro ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our QR code generation and management services.
By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.
When you create an account, we collect:
When you create QR codes, we store:
For Pro users who enable analytics, we collect:
Payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We do not store your complete credit card information. We only store transaction IDs, payment status, and subscription details necessary to provide the Service.
We use the collected information for:
We share data with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Service:
We ask two separate questions, and both start switched off. Nothing in either category is collected until you turn it on. This notice describes what we would do — it is not itself your consent, and reading it grants nothing.
Product diagnostics. First-party measurement of which features are used and where people get stuck — for example opening the generator, saving or downloading a code, or hitting a plan limit. Its purpose is finding bugs and confusing steps. This category also covers Microsoft Clarity, a separate processor described immediately below.
Marketing analytics. Which adverts and campaigns were shown and clicked, recorded with the campaign, creative, placement and page. Its purpose is understanding which promotions work.
Whether your identity is attached. If you are signed in and have granted the relevant category, events are linked to your account — specifically to your internal account identifier, never your email address, which is never stored in analytics. If you are not signed in, events are stored with no user identifier at all and cannot be linked back to you or joined into a profile. We do not create a persistent identifier for anonymous visitors, which is also why we cannot and do not report anonymous visitors as unique people.
Staff traffic. Events from our own administrator accounts are marked as internal so we can exclude them from reporting. They are classified, not hidden, and they obey exactly the same consent rules as everyone else.
What we store about your choice. Your decision for each category, the version of this notice it was given against, and the date and time. For signed-in users the same record is also stored against the account, so it survives clearing your browser.
Changing your mind. Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Withdrawing is one click, exactly like granting, and takes effect immediately — collection stops in your browser straight away.
What continues regardless. Signing in, payment processing and security records are necessary to run the Service and are not part of these choices. They are not marketing analytics, are never used for advertising, and declining measurement does not affect them or any feature of the Service.
How long we keep it. We do not currently delete measurement events on a schedule, so events collected since April 2026 are still held. We will not state a retention period here that we do not actually enforce. A defined period is under consideration; if one is adopted, this section will be updated to state it at that point, and not before.
With your permission, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the Service so we can find bugs and confusing steps. Clarity records a playback of your interactions with our pages — clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement and which pages you visit — along with your approximate location (country/city), device, browser and referring page. Microsoft may combine this with data it already holds, and processes it as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
This is off by default and sits inside Product diagnostics. Nothing is recorded until you turn that category on, and leaving it off means the recorder is never loaded at all. Granting Marketing analytics alone does not start session replay. Every feature of the Service works identically either way. Change your mind at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
We do not record the contents of password fields, and we do not use Clarity on QR scan destination pages. We never sell this data or use it for advertising.
Essential: Sign-in sessions and security. These are required for the Service to work and cannot be switched off.
Analytics (optional): Microsoft Clarity, described above, sets cookies to recognise a returning session. These are only set after you allow them. Your choice is stored locally in your browser, per device.
